A Prime Palm Springs Setting
Located in Racquet Club Estates on a quiet cul-de-sac with a mountain view in the City of Palm Springs. Casa Simms is a 5 minute drive to downtown Palm Springs.
Racquet Club Estates is a Mid-Century Modern Palm Springs neighborhood where you can explore the residential stylings that defined the Palm Springs landscape in the early 60’s, returning it to its modernism status today. The crown jewel of Palm Springs in its glory days was The Racquet Club. Founded in 1934 by actors Charlie Farrell and Ralph Bellamy, it was a resort where A-list Hollywood celebrities like Frank Sinatra, and Dean Martin to play tennis, socialize poolside while enjoying the privacy Palm Springs offered in a glamorous low-key setting. There is no evidence that a certain blonde starlet knew one end of a racket from the other, but she entered the grounds as unknown Norma Jeane; years later, she left the club as Marilyn Monroe. While The Racquet Club is history, you can find that vibe today, minus the celebs, in the surrounding Racquet Club Estates neighborhood.
If you enjoy the nightlife we are 5 minutes by car from downtown Palm Springs. There is no shortage of restaurants, bars, and entertainment throughout the year. Take the famous Palm Springs Aerial Tramway (5 minutes away) to the top of the San Jacinto Mountains to experience dinner, hiking, and a view that will last a lifetime! If you are here for Coachella, StageCoach, or just a relaxing week in the sun, you have found your home!
